SOOT & SNAILS : It was KOSHO UCHIYAMA ROSHI, i think, who ascribed his students' notions of ENLIGHTENMENT or MYSTICAL EXPERIENCES during ZAZEN, as being down to something they had eaten for dinner - Typical of the down-to-earth grit of ZEN...Likewise, these 10 ABSTRACT WORX, are down to SOOT, SNAIL TRAILS and GRIME on an old, white board, in a friend's backyard.
