WHY I GO NOWHERE : #3 - TO DORCHESTER MARKET

Left home @ 7.30 this morning - love early starts - always raring to go. Thought about catching local No.5 bus into town but decided to walk across Radipole Lake (R.S.P.B. Reserve)...

...just half-a-minute away from house. 10 minutes to get to the other side, and another 5 or 6 minutes to the sea-front...

... and just a few minutes to wait for No.31 to Dorchester, after a long chat with Aidan Chapman @ his PHOENIX BAKERY, and eyeing-up the bread he was busy making, for a purchase, for  when i get back from market.

@ HOME, BACK FROM MARKET
laid-out my purchases...

...and here's a closer look...

...vegetarian sushi (for me), and sushi with fish (for my sister). WEYSUSHI have a stall in the covered section of the market. 2 young Japanese women, were up very early this morning, to prepare everything. But, oh! i forgot to ask their names! i was the first customer of their morning. 2nd time i had been there for sushi. Nearby, bought some mushrooms once again...

i do aim at 100% organic foods. The above are rare exceptions. So, left market for Waitrose. Wholefoods, that are not organic, could have large amounts of chemicals. In a way, better to have white bread rather than wholemeal, white rice rather than brown... heresy? EAT ORGANIC. And there is no need to buy expensive, so-called superfoods........ ALL FRUITS AND VEGETABLES ARE SUPERFOODS! AND MAKE 'EM ORGANIC !
(N.B. Mushrooms, even if non-organic, invariably, are very low in the way of chemical sprays etc. Broccoli is another example. Grapes NOT so good. One can find-out which non-organic foods are "safer" than others. IT AINT A PERFECT WORLD...nor will it ever be. Learn to not make differentiations and love and enjoy life's imperfections.
WABI SABI, anyone ?

SWEET POTATOES

BABY SPINACH & SPRING CABBAGE

RED ONIONS

TOFU - SMOKED & WITH BASIL

PINTO BEANS

CHOCOLATE COCONUT "MILK"

*****

So, not yet half-way through my day...just past mid-day...look at my mag.? - bought it for the LUCIE RIE - or ....?

...NO WONDER I'LL BE GOING NOWHERE...

  1. Looks like a fine haul of culinary treasures! I agree about the organics. I buy most everything organic. If I can't afford organic (as in cucumber and peppers right now) I just eat something else.
