caught
in sunlight
the other
hidden
in her lap
in the shade
strokes a
black cat.

TRAVELS OF THE HEART
"Give me a ship
& you can take
all the houses
in the world."
 
ST. IVES.
VENEZIA.
ECHUCA.
Wallis's "Blue Ship"
on a postcard
sailed.
Franco sent
Gondolas
covered in snow
from the canals
of VENEZIA.
Catherine sent
Paddle-Steamers
from The Murray River -
"The Adelaide"
&
"The Pevensey" -
moored at
ECHUCA.
Wallis started
painting
ships at 70
for just
17 years -
i sailed out
on his
"Blue Ship"
from ST. IVES.

  1. So, you tried to post comment on here and couldn't becos of those leters one has to decipher !!! i have same problem. One can "ckick" to request another configuration...ah well, to answer yr questions on facebook...
    The family had been on holiday in StIves and i had bought WALLIS postcards - i'm a great buyer of p/cards. On returning home, to Southampton, i had cards from FRANCO BELTRAMETTI & CATHY O'BRIEN...cannot remember if they were in return for my sending the "BLUE SHIP" or t'other way around. In fact, i remember you saw the poem at one time and thought it showed "s'thing" !!! Maybe that is still the case (?) - tho it has changed a little!!
    AND, YES1 odds'n' sods, scraps here and there to play with, given time and inclination. And SERENDIPITY!!!
