bare-shouldered
found a new God
kicking pebbles
on the sands
tip-toeing
amongst prayers

every moment
passed in
deepest reverie
a sense of
her voice
her hand
her touch
windsongs by the sea

looking for traces
difficult words
sign-post says "Heaven"
borrowed time

dream-catcher
wind-bells would
give voice
to the night
in rhyme
with the beating
of my heart

flung against music
shadow-speech
succumbs to song
sleep gulped-down
morning too soon

still harbour
gulls dress the sky
the body takes note
