In South Street, in Dorchester, this morning, i stopped to listen to an Irish folk singer. He was good. He was the real thing, this Colm, from Dublin, with his bowler hat and his beat-up guitar. We talked, and we both could've talked all day, i'm sure....but there's a living to be made and i left him to it after i'd taken his foto, with his permission. Colour or black & white, i asked. It has to be black & white, he replied.
